Remarks Session

At the opening of the meeting, Alliance Chairman Yang Jingjing extended a warm welcome to all participating representatives. She noted that the Alliance draws on the Belt and Road Initiative to integrate professional and business resources and build a bridge for two-way cooperation, and that the signing is not only a fresh starting point for trilateral cooperation but also an important milestone for Chinese, Malaysian and Philippine companies working together to open up the ASEAN market. She hoped all parties would deepen mutual trust and pursue development together.

President How Han Hui then expressed his support for the signing. He noted that the Chamber, as a service platform for Malaysian companies in the Philippines, has always kept good communication and cooperation with the Philippine business community, and that he hopes to work through the Alliance with more Chinese companies to build a bridge for two-way overseas expansion, promote practical exchanges in information sharing and resource matching, and jointly create favourable conditions for cooperation among the business communities of the three countries.

Secretary-General Wang Yu then introduced the Alliance’s “professional + business” dual-track model and the service model of its three centers. With its two operations centers in Kunming and Kuala Lumpur, the Alliance builds a bridge for two-way investment, with resources covering South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa, helping Chinese and foreign companies expand into overseas markets together. The trilateral signing is a real-world implementation of the dual operations centers. Going forward, the Alliance and the Chamber will complement each other’s resources to serve Chinese companies investing in the Philippines and help them adapt to local market rules.

Executive Director Yao Yanfei (Maggie) said that the Alliance’s overseas operations center will play its full role in overseas expansion, work closely with the Alliance’s domestic center to create joint momentum, and work with the Chamber to keep advancing trilateral cooperation in exchanges between Chinese and foreign companies and in industry promotion. Drawing on Kuala Lumpur’s location advantages and the Alliance’s professional service network, it will match companies from different sectors with precisely targeted resources and open up a full-process service chain from early-stage research to on-the-ground operations, helping Chinese companies “go global” steadily and for the long term.

03
Exchange Session

During the exchange session, participants held in-depth discussions on directions for cooperation across several industries, including AI technology, renewable energy, home furnishings trade and the low-altitude economy, and shared their thoughts on possible future cooperation scenarios and how they might be put into practice.
Looking ahead, Yingke Malaysia, as the overseas operations center of the IN GLOBAL Legal & Business Alliance, will keep to the principles of “equal cooperation, resource sharing, complementary strengths and win-win development”, with the “integration of law and business” as its core capability concept and its overseas physical service network as its operating foundation. It is committed to becoming the on-the-ground arm and professional risk service platform for Chinese companies at the “systematic rooting” stage overseas, and, together with partners from all sectors, to go beyond going global and aim for a shared ecosystem.
Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industries Philippines (MCCIP)
The Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industries Philippines, Inc. was founded in 2017 and is the first business chamber in the Philippines established by an ASEAN member state. It was formally unveiled on 6 September that year during the ASEAN Summit, on the initiative of Dato’ Seri Mustapa Mohamed, Malaysia’s Minister of International Trade and Industry. Its mission is “to serve nation-building by promoting trade between Malaysia and the Philippines”. It currently has 69 member companies and 11 individual members, and its current President is How Han Hui. In recent years, the Chamber has signed cooperation agreements with Philippine government agency PHILGUARANTEE, the FEU university system and chambers of commerce and industry in various parts of the Philippines, actively advancing business cooperation between the two countries in areas such as trade facilitation, investment promotion, infrastructure and the halal industry.
